Privacy Policy

Knoxville Composite Deck is a composite deck builder serving Knoxville and Knox County, Tennessee. This website, the phone line (865) 500-5933, and the text messaging program described below are operated by HotStart Labs ("we", "us"), the registered sender of our text messages. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a free estimate through our contact form we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, property address, and a description of the work. When you call us, we collect your caller ID and the details you provide during the call. Calls may be answered by an automated assistant and may be recorded and transcribed so we can act on your request.

Information collected automatically. Our servers log the IP address and basic request details for each visit and form submission. We use first-party analytics served from our own domain. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Our forms use a hidden honeypot field and rate limiting to block automated abuse.

Public property records. To prepare an estimate and permit application we may look up the property address you give us in public assessor and mapping records, such as the Tennessee Comptroller parcel data, Knox County KGIS, and satellite imagery.

How we use information

• To respond to your inquiry and schedule the free on-site estimate you asked for.
• To arrange the service you requested. We may pass your name, contact details, property address, and job description to the local contractor who performs your estimate, solely so they can provide it.
• To send transactional text messages if you have opted in (see below).
• To secure our site, prevent spam and abuse, and keep records we are required or permitted to keep.

SMS text messaging

You may choose to receive text messages from HotStart Labs on behalf of Knoxville Composite Deck by checking the unchecked SMS consent box on our estimate request form, or by saying yes when our phone agent asks whether it is okay to send you text notifications about your appointment. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

• What we send. Messages about your estimate request, such as scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, arrival notifications, follow-ups, and replies to your questions. We do not send promotional marketing texts.
• Frequency. Message frequency varies with your request, up to 5 messages per estimate request.
• Rates. Message and data rates may apply.
• Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (865) 500-5933.
• Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Terms. Full program terms are in our SMS Terms and Conditions.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with lead generators or data brokers. We share information only:

• With service providers that process it on our behalf, such as Cloudflare (hosting, storage, email delivery, and bot protection), Twilio (telephony and messaging), and the providers behind our automated phone assistant and appointment scheduling.
• With the local contractor who performs your estimate, as described above, and only for that purpose.
• When required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

Retention and security

We keep form submissions, call records, and message logs for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain business records, then delete or anonymize them. Data is stored with Cloudflare in the United States. All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit, and access to stored data is limited to the people who need it.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing sales@knoxvillecompositedeck.com. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Children

This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes to our text messaging practices will be described on this page before they take effect.
